김동훈은 현재 고려대학교 정치외교학과 교수로 재직 중이다. 아이오와대학(University of Iowa) 정치학과에서 박사학위를 받았고, 미국 미시건주 오크랜드대학(Oakland University) 에서 교수로 재직하였다. 주요 연구 분야는 정치경제이며, 최근에는 양극화의 경제적 결과에 관한 연구를 진행 중이다.
Dong-Hun Kim is a Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Korea University. Previously, he held a professorship in the Department of Political Science at Oakland University. He earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Iowa in 2006.

박세인은 현재 고려대학교 정치연구소 주니어 펠로우이고, 미국 워싱턴대학(Washington University in St. Louis) 박사과정을 진행 중이다. 주요 연구 관심 분야는 비교정치경제, 국제정치경제이다.
Sein Park is currently a junior fellow at the Institute of Political Research at Korea University and a Ph.D. student at Washington University in St. Louis. Her research interests include comparative and international political economy.
<초록/Abstract>
왜 FTA 간 원산지규정의 엄격성은 차이가 있는 것인가? 본 논문은 원산지규정의 엄격성이 FTA의 혜택을 누릴 수 있는 기업과 없는 기업을 구분하는 국내적 분배적 효과가 존재한다는 점에 주목하여, FTA 협정 당사국 시장의 성격, 특히 대기업 중심의 시장구조를 가진 국가 간의 FTA 원산지규정의 엄격성이 높다는 가설을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 실증적 분석에서는 독립변수로서 시장진입비용과 수출집중도를 대리변수로 사용하여 분석한 결과 모두 대기업 집중도가 높아질수록 FTA의 원산지규정이 엄격할 확률이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 분석 결과는 FTA가 모든 자국 기업에게 차별적인 혜택을 제공하고자 하는 그 목적과 달리 원산지규정의 복잡성·엄격성으로 인하여 그 혜택은 일부의 국내기업에만 제공되고 있음을 시사한다.
Why do Free Trade Agreements differ in the restrictiveness of their rules of origin? By paying attention to the fact that rules of origin have domestic distributional implications which benefit large firms, we argue that FTAs between countries with markets dominated by large firms have stringent rules of origin. Empirical analysis shows that FTAs between countries with high levels of market concentration and high market entry costs tend to have stringent rules of origin.
