센터 목표 및 비전

동맹외교센터는 대한민국의 외교 전략 틀 안에서 한미동맹, 한미일 3자 협력, 인도-태평양 4개 파트너 국 (IP4), 북대서양조약기구 (NATO) 등 주요 동맹과 파트너십 간의 전략적 연계를 개념화하고자 다양한 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 특히 2023년 8월에는 이러한 전략적 연계 구상을 본격화하기 위해 Pan-Alliance Initiative를 발족하였습니다. 동맹외교센터는 인도-태평양과 유럽을 포괄하는 안보 협력 구조를 중첩적으로 연결하고 한국 외교의 외연을 확장하는 데에 기여하고자 합니다.

Mission

The Center for Alliance Diplomacy conducts comprehensive research aimed at conceptualizing the strategic interlinkage among key bilateral and multilateral security arrangements within the broader framework of the Republic of Korea’s foreign policy. These include the U.S.–ROK alliance, the U.S.–Japan–ROK trilateral partnership, the Indo-Pacific 4 (IP4), and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). In August 2023, the Center launched the Pan-Alliance Initiative to systematize and deepen its inquiry into the evolving architecture of alliance-based diplomacy. This initiative seeks to analyze the overlapping and concentric security frameworks across the Indo-Pacific and Europe, thereby contributing to the expansion of Korea’s strategic diplomatic horizons.
